National Urban Health Mission

NUHM is a sub-mission under NHM which envisages addressing the health care needs and reducing the OOPE of the urban population with a special focus on the urban poor and vulnerable. Division has provided the technical assistance in developing several important documents for the mission, such as Implementation Framework of NUHM, Orientation module for planners, implementers and partners, Capacity development framework for strengthening implementation of NUHM, guidelines and tools for vulnerability mapping and assessment for Urban Health, Guidebook for enhancing performance of ANMs in Urban areas and Guidelines for organizing UPHC services. Division conducts capacity building trainings of HR involved along with supportive supervision of public facilities.
