The main mandate of the State Health Systems Resource Centre is to provide technical assistance and capacity building for strengthening of district health systems and act as support to state health systems in strategy development, programme planning, support for innovation and change management.
SHSRC serve as the apex body for technical support to the state and districts, by focusing on problem identification, analysis and problem solving in the process of implementation.
SHSRC also undertake implementation research and evaluation and support the development of knowledge networks and partnerships in the state. SHSRC further provide support for policy and strategy development, through collating evidence and knowledge from published work, from experiences in implementation and serve as institutional memory. SHSRC are positioned for handholding and championing implementation of new strategies and scaling up of successful innovations.
