Common Review Mission (CRM) Reports

The mechanism of conducting Common Review Mission (CRM) was set up as a part of the Mission Steering Group’s mandate of review and concurrent evaluation. The first one was conducted in November 2007 there after it is conducted every year and a report is brought out which enabled programme divisions and policy makers to go for course correction.

Every year Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOHFW) organizes the Common Review Mission (CRM) in various states across the country. The objective of the CRM is to undertake a rapid assessment of the functional status of various health programmes running under NHM and to understand key drivers and challenges impacting their implementation. It also documents innovations and best practices of each state that can be replicated elsewhere for achieving better health outcomes. All the Common Review Missions (CRMs) held under NHM/NRHM provided valuable information about the state strategies that were successful and those that were not, enabling mid-course corrections.
